Overview
Managing risk is part of everybody’s job. Effective risk management supports informed decision making and helps to achieve positive outcomes at every level of an organisation.
This session will build your confidence in understanding core risk management concepts, as well as provide you with frameworks and tools to assist you and your organisation in the way that they manage risk.
This is an in-person workshop where you’ll be invited to engage in group discussions.

This session is suited to public sector professionals interested in risk management with limited or no risk management expertise and knowledge.

Hi there! I’ve worked in senior risk roles across multiple agencies over the past 15 years. I’m a certified practising risk manager and a Fellow of the Institute of Strategic Risk Management. I’m also an expert on the Standards Australia/ISO group for Security and Resilience and Risk Management.

I have over 10 years' experience working within a Risk team in Local and State Government. In addition to this, I have vast knowledge in insurance and claims management. I have worked with numerous teams to work towards reducing claims and managing risk management processes.
