- Genomics and Your Hospital Toolkit
Genomics is improving patient care in multiple specialties – from oncology and paediatrics to immunology and infectious diseases. Its use is increasing as more types of genomic tests receive public funding.
However, it can be difficult for hospitals to be confident that good genomic care is being provided across all relevant departments, or that the right test is being used with the right patient.
Genomics and Your Hospital is a world-first toolkit designed to help hospitals move forward with human and pathogen genomics. The toolkit was developed by the Melbourne Genomics Health Alliance, in collaboration with healthcare experts across Victoria.
The toolkit includes key actions to ensure genomic care is safe, high-quality and effective. It also provides tools and templates to help.
