- Addressing BAD behaviour
A resource aimed at young doctors is addressing bullying and disruptive (BAD) behaviour in the workplace.
The BAD Behaviour Project is the work of the Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV), who support the welfare and development of doctors who have recently graduated or commenced work in the Victorian health system.
According to PMCV, bullying of, and amongst doctors is widespread. It also negatively impacts safe patient care.
The online resource aims to bring awareness to the types of bad and disruptive behaviour that not only cause harm but is illegal.
The resource includes extensive information along with examples of BAD behaviour, behaviour audits and quizzes to help identify unreasonable behaviour.
Useful links to organisations, such as the Bully Zero Australia Foundation, are also included.
PMCV encourages health services to use the free resource and display the poster in their organisations.
